Our Vision
To be a growing vibrant outward looking church, rooted in the Word of God and living the new life in Christ, as empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Our Mission
Love God, love people, advance the kingdom
Worship
We were created to worship God and enjoy His presence. The Psalmist said, “…in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” Psalm 16:11. While we acknowledge that our lives must be an act of worship to the Lord, we particularly value corporate worship (physical or virtual gathering) as expressed through songs, fellowship, mutual encouragement, and prayer.
We therefore aim to be a church
- that seeks God’s presence by worshipping Him in Spirit and in truth, as expressed in joyful vibrant worship.
- where Christ is exalted, God is glorified, and the message of the Gospel is proclaimed in our worship.
The Word and The Spirit
As an Evangelical Pentecostal church that is closely affiliated to the Assemblies of God, we believe in the authority of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives.
We therefore aim to be a church
- that is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word for salvation, encouragement, and maturity of believers.
- led and empowered by the Spirit of God for serving and advancing God’s kingdom.
- In tune with the Spirit and having a prophetic voice for the church and the wider community.
Our Identity in Christ
A core theme of New Testament epistles talks about the believer’s new identity in Christ. Passages such as 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:15; Ephesians 1:5; 1 John 3:1-2, emphasises on the believer’s identity as a child of God. It is also from this truth that Paul often exhorted the churches to turn from their old ways and to live the new life of godliness in Christ Jesus.
We therefore aim to be a church
- That is eternally grateful for the new life we have in Christ Jesus, as we seek to live out the fullness of our birth right (i.e., the blessings as adopted children of God, our authority and power in Christ etc.)
Stewardship
As children of God, we are also stewards entrusted with physical and spiritual gifts, as well as material resources to be used wisely for the betterment of the church, our families, the community, and the world.
We therefore aim to be a church
- with an understanding that we are servants of God and stewards entrusted with gifts for serving and building the church of Christ.
- with a generous culture, knowing that as stewards, we are to give as an act of worship and as an expression of love for God, as well as out of a shared duty to sustain the work of the church (2 Corinthians 9:1-11; Luke 6:38).
Fellowship
The church is made up of people from various backgrounds and different walks of life, all united in their shared identity as children of God (1 John 3:1). As believers, we have been called into a relationship with God and with brothers and sisters in Christ.
We therefore aim to be a church
- that looks through the lenses of the Cross to genuinely love, welcome and be gracious towards one another.
- that prioritises the blessing of gathering in worship (physically or virtually) and sharing our lives together.
Mission
Before Jesus ascended, He commissioned the Apostles to continue the mission of making disciples, baptising them, and teaching them to observe all that He has taught them. As a church, we believe that mission is a key part of unravelling God’s plans and purposes in the world, and the church is the vessel He has chosen to accomplish this.
We therefore aim to be a church
- that is active in sharing the Gospel of salvation and of God’s love to those who do not know Him.
- that is outward looking and visible in engaging our community
- that supports local and international mission in spreading the Gospel and in demonstrating God’s love and justice to the poor and marginalised.
