Brief info
Dave Thompson is married to Joy They have four grown up children, all married and all involved in Christian ministry. They currently have ten grandchildren (at the last count) which keep them busy. Dave is often quoted as saying ‘Keep them coming!’
They led Bearsted Community Church for nearly 30 years which was a church plant from what is now known as The Life Church. They relocated back to TLC about 3 years ago.
Before going into ministry Dave was formerly the owner of a local house building company but gave up control of this some 20 years ago to enable him to spend more time serving the church. He loves sport especially football (only watching these days) and is an ardent supporter of the best team in the country Maidstone United.
Both Dave and Joy still have a passion to see a strong, healthy and committed local church which will impact the surrounding community with the gospel, through both words and actions. They also have a desire to see the next generation of leaders fully equipped and empowered to fulfil their own calling in God.
